Composite decking

Our composite decking comes direct from one of the best quality suppliers, Ecodek, who are based in North Wales and manufacture their own boards right here in the UK.

The boards are available in 5 colours and suited for use in both commercial and domestics installations.

The solid deck boards are extruded from a wood polymer composite which offers all the benefits of timber with non of the drawbacks.

These composite decking boards will not stain, warp, split, flake or promote algae growth like timber, meaning you can enjoy a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor space for years to come.

The deck boards come with a high level of slip resistance, designed to keep you safe in all weather conditions.

Ecodek boards come in a standard length of 3.6m but are available to order up to 6m lengths making them extremely versatile.

Garden decking has become very popular, one of the reasons being that it is extremely versatile. It can be used to overcome issues that would normally cause landscaping problems, to enhance features of your garden, to add practicality or to extend your living space outside. As well as looking very attractive and clean it can be used for practical reasons too, such as levelling out uneven terrain like slopes or embankments and covering unsightly drainage access points.

Due to composite decking being very low maintenance it greatly reduces the time it takes to look after your garden. The greater the decking area means that there is less grass to mow, less flowers to prune and less weeds to remove. Decking can be used for a wide variety of uses, the most popular of which is extending living space outdoors to create the illusion of a larger property. If installed correctly a seamless transition between home and garden is possible which can provide a unique socialising area for those late evenings sat around the BBQ. In our opinion composite decking is the best choice when designing a low maintenance garden.

Due to the decking area being raised it is above all of the mud and wet grass during those rainy days. (and lets face it we have quite a few!) This means that you and your children or pets can still go outside without the worry of walking in dirt. Composite decking blends with all garden types and can be designed to suit all sizes and most budgets. A safe and well constructed decking area can also add value to your home, so make the right choice and choose North West Landscaping & Drainage Solutions.

Artificial Grass

Our european artificial grass comes direct from the Association of Artificial Grass Installers. This grass is trade quality and manufactured in Holland to the highest standards.

Our grass is available in a number of different grades and lengths. All of our grass undergoes rigorous testing and is suitable for children and domestic pets to enjoy. We also supply grass with a polyurethane backing as oppose to the traditional bitumen latex backing. This difference is vital when choosing a grass that pet may urinate on as this type of backing resists moisture more effectively so in turn repels the smell of urine.

The biggest factor to consider when choosing an artificial grass installer is the preparation of the groundwork. When we undertake a project we make sure that all of the old grass is removed and disposed of, a 50mm - 60mm compacted base of MOT type 1 is installed, on top is a compacted base of granite dust followed by a geotextile membrane to prevent regrowth of vegetation. We never install timber borders as they will rot within a matter of 2 - 3 years which will affect the overall appearance of your new lawn.

When installing artificial grass over the top of an existing hardstanding, for example tarmac, we use a rubberised shockpad which enables us to protect members of your family from critical fall height. This shockpad is important as it also allows rainwater to escape freely underneath the artificial grass to prevent standing water.

All of our grass conforms to EN71-3 European standards.

Timber Structures

Although we love installing composite decking, artificial grass, resin driveways/patio's, various paving etc. We have a huge passion for constructing timber structures.

Over the years we have designed, cut and installed numerous timber gazebo's. The more cost effective structures are made from pressure treated softwood with matching privacy slats. Now and again we are asked to construct something a little different.

The adjacent gallery showcases a few of these designs along with a beautiful solid oak and redwood cedar creation. We have waited many years for a customer to request a treehouse and quite recently constructed our first complete with fireman's pole, tyre swing, cargo net and climbing wall.

Occasionally we will install aluminium canopies but due to the higher costs involved these are few and far between.
